Behold my Naka-Kon 2012 bounty!

OK, I’ll shut up about Naka-Kon, at least until next year, but before I do, allow me to show off my latest acquisitions.

Mio Akiyama from K-ON!

Manaka Takane from Love Plus

Kuroneko from Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Lynette Bishop from Strike Witches

Elsie from The World God Only Knows

And because I know someone is going to ask, I don’t plan on having most of these in my comics. I like to stick to the “one-per-series” rule, which means that only one character from any anime or video game series is going to be in a comic at any given time. Sometimes I like to buy figures just because I like figures.

Your so lucky. I’m job hunting just for the sole reason of buying figures. Great reason huh lol? Nice additions you got there.

    • meganekkochaser says:

Hey, whatever your reason is for working is better than being a complete lazyass and not working at all.

Having said that, if you were not in high school or college and wanted a job solely for buying figures, then you would have a problem. Haha.

Lynne-chan! Treat my Waifu well, son oO

You got quite the lovely loot. Sadly the Con I attended didn’t sell nendoroids. Wonder why they never sell Nendoroids down here, only figmas XD

    • meganekkochaser says:

I’ll try. Lynette is so kind-hearted that I would feel guilty if I broke something of hers. What cons do you usually go to?

      • NaitoNii says:

The two biggest cons we got are called “AnimeCon” and Abunai! and I usually attend Abunai for 3 days in a row.

the smaller ones we got are Tsunacon, Atsucon and Nishicon.

        Location: The Netherlands, Europe. ;p

    Nice loot. :D

Having some of them in your comics would open up some interesting possibilities but I understand the problems of having too many characters in a comic series. Hope you get a chance to get them out of their packages. I’ve plenty myself I’ve yet to get out of the box… orz

    • meganekkochaser says:

Thanks. I was afraid that I would regret buying some of them when I got home or after I woke up today, but I’m still pleased with whom I bought.

And thanks for understanding. For some reason, some people assume that whenever I buy a nendoroid, it’s automatically going into a comic. Bleh.

looks like azunyan wishes has been fullfilled
besides, what would happen if kuroneko appears in kirino’s corner?
    so many questions!

  5. susu_357 says:

Whoa, what a bounty you had there!
Will you out them all in ADLN in the future?

  6. Oburi says:

Kuroneko is SOOOOOOOOO worth getting XD U will never regret it

  7. Rubexbox says:

Azunyan and Lucchini are going to be so happy….BRS, not so much.

  8. shinkiro says:

    wow! what a haul!
same reason for me. im also job hunting just to buy nendo’s.
    pretty lame reason ahahaha.
you finally got mio and lynette. those 2 pony tales ladies sure will be happy.
    kirino woul d be surprised! i hope…….
looks like brs life would be a hell of a day again.

  9. balee says:

Mio! How I wish I were there… btw, are there any other cons near Lawrence?

    • meganekkochaser says:

I love Mio. She’s actually standing near my keyboard with her crying face.

There’s Motaku in Kansas City in August, but it’s significantly smaller than Naka. The only other cons I know of are Anime NebrasKon in Omaha and Anime Festival Wichita, but both are at least 2.5 hours away. Do you live in the area?

Wow you’re so lucky to get all those nendoroids at a con. There’s only two cons a year in the city where I live, and the next nearest one is over 2500k’s away. I have a couple of figmas but now I’m after my first nendoroid. i’m in a toss up between Mami and Mayushi, which one would you say is better?

    • meganekkochaser says:

      Dang. Where do you live?

I would say get Mami. She’s going to be harder to find than Mayushii, and she’ll be more expensive depending on whom you get her from, but she would be my choice.

      • konataness says:

I live in Perth, Australia. Thanks for the advice, I know a place where mami is still in stock…I hope. Gotta find the funds, because even though the site I found her on had her cheaper than most, it’s still a big hole in my wallet.

  11. balee says:

XD. I never put my nendos outside the case caz I don’t want to clean them periodly… I study in KU since last fall; Lawrence is really a lovely place…

  12. AnimeKiller says:

holy duck f*ck! Mio Akiyama and Lynette Bishop? Excellent choice! oh and how was Naka-Con?

    • meganekkochaser says:

Naka-Kon was great! The only major disappointment was that many of my friends couldn’t make it because of financial issues. The ones who could make it could stay for only part of one day.

      • AnimeKiller says:

well at least you had a great time, right? i’m 15 so maybe i’ll see if i’ll be able to go to a con in summer. i’m just a nerd

  13. mewcet3 says:

Jesus Christ! Nice haul! Yearning for the Manaka nendo…

  14. Neko_Oni says:

I usually go to Otakon, which is supposedly one of the biggest cons in the US…and the only Nendoroids I saw were BGS and BRS! (I picked up BRS.) Looks like your con had some great vendors indeed!

…..But Lynette should end up in your comic…if only to annoy BRS. Poor thing needs some new (Rock) cannon fodder after all the “flat chest” stuff. Target practice is very theraputic and just may get her back to her bitchy loveable self. ^_^b

    • meganekkochaser says:

I would love to go to Otakon, or any big convention on the East Coast really.

There were six different booths selling nendoroids at Naka, and so many nendoroids that I wanted but didn’t buy. There’s actually someone who visits my blog and follows me on other social media who blamed me for her getting a BRS nendo at Naka. Haha.

      • Neko_Oni says:

I can see why: after all, your BRS loves football. ^____^

I had wanted a Nendoroid to see what all the fuss was about and since BRS was one of the only ones I could find, I picked her up. (Had wanted a Dead Master..) They are a lot of fun, but I wasn’t amused that the neck peg on BRS broke after I changed her face all of three times!

        • meganekkochaser says:

Dang. I’ve had BRS for more than a year and have used her extensively for my comics, and she’s never had a broken joint. Seems that nendoroid parts are hit-or-miss when it comes to durability.

You might have mentioned this before, but when did you get your BRS nendo?

          • Neko_Oni says:

I picked her up at Otakon last year. Wondered what all the fuss was with the Nendoroids and as she was 50% off at the Kinokuniya booth, couldn’t pass her up! Only picked up one other thing that day: a Medicom RAH Ed Elric, which was seriously worth the cash!!
