I know what you mean. The danger to using reference jokes, especially in a comic with figures from different series, is that if your readers haven’t seen one or more of the anime you’re referencing, the jokes will fly right over their heads. I worry about this all the time.

Thanks. I think the gravitational pull joke was more or less something I thought of when I was in Photoshop putting the comic together rather than something that was scripted way ahead of time. But you won’t see Lynne because Lucchini is already in the comic.
