So I was fairly excited when I saw a swimsuit version of Lynette Bishop from Winter WonFes 2012. But I got even more hyped when I saw a colored prototype of Ika Musume, or “Squid Girl” in English, from Shinryaku! Ika Musume.
Ika is undoubtedly my favorite character in the series. Perhaps the best term for her is “lovable loser,” but that’s a big part of why I adore her and her ridiculousness.
As for the show itself, Ika Musume is not going to be one of those ultra-popular anime. It’s funny but will never be as hyped as a certain show with magical girls and incubators. Just beware of the endless stream of squid puns.

I have the next two ADLNs already made and ready to go, but I’m going to stick to my schedule of posting those on Mondays and Thursdays. And I recently did a Shana and I and Science with Mayushii, so here are my two favorite tsundere. This isn’t really a comic or an artistic photo, but I hope you enjoy it.
On a side note, I really hate Shana’s cowlick. It gets in the way of her speech bubbles.

I’ve seen a few custom nendoroids, but this custom Sailor Mercury nendoroid could pass as genuine. Click on the link for a full-body image.

This photo has been out for quite some time now, but I figure I’d share with those who haven’t seen it yet. Personally, I’m not too impressed; I see only about 40 nendos I would want.

Originally scheduled for a late January shipment, Shirley will not be coming home to Liberion — or anywhere else — until February. Maybe Good Smile was having a difficult time finding enough plastic to make her chest. In any case, a lot of Strike Witches fans are going to be disappointed.

I am hardly a Photoshop master, but I figured this would be fun to do after being inspired by this in a previous post. For now, her jacket and the shirt coming out from under the jacket are colored in. I realize that the pins and buttons on her jacket aren’t colored in, but they looked like utter crap when I tried to do it. Now I need to figure out how to do the hair and skin without them looking like shit.
