With the beautiful weather, I decided to go on a photoshoot of the University of Kansas campus. I brought Exelica with me, though I will say that I was a little self-conscious taking photos of a chibi video game girl out in the real world.
Exelica in front of Memorial Stadium, the football stadium at KU. It was built as a tribute to KU students who fought in World War I.

I’m not sure I like Mami’s smiling face. The mouth is too wide for my tastes. That’s why she’s frowning while drinking her tea. I’ve kept her beside my laptop for the past couple of nights, and whenever I look at her, it’s almost as if she’s disapproving of whatever website I happen to be on. Tonight, however, I get the feeling she doesn’t like being shorter than an 18-55mm camera lens. She needs to be just a head taller …

Test photo from my new 50mm lens
My 50mm lens arrived today. I figured, what better way to test-drive it than to take a photo or two of my newest nendo?
I may take more photos tomorrow, depending on whether I can get certain things done.
I love my Yuki Nagato nendoroid. You probably wouldn’t know it being that she’s never in my comics and seldom in any photos. For the past six months I’ve had her sitting in her chair reading her book. Now the little bookworm gets the spotlight, albeit a brief one.
But I think from now on I’ll keep her off her chair. She just looks so cool sitting on top of my bookcase with her legs off the edge. It’s almost as if she’s saying, “I’m so cool, I don’t need a damned stand.”
